Take pictures. Travel on a barter basis.
After 8 years of travel and 25 countries
I started traveling when I was 18 years old. It was so long ago in faraway Russia: I had almost no money, hitchhiked long distances, and saw the whole country from Murmansk to Vladivostok. At 19, I flew to Hong Kong with $5 in my pocket, living in a tent on an island not far from the city. Then there were four months of traveling around South America: I flew to Ushuaia and had no money for a return ticket - I had to walk around half of Argentina, Chile, Peru, and Brazil before returning to Moscow and meeting a guy from Singapore, who taught me how to photograph hotels and live in them on a barter basis.
Since then, I have bartered with over 200 hotels from Indonesia and Hong Kong to Panama City and Mexico city.
I decided to create my course (in Russian so far) not to flood the market with non-professionals, telling them about the possibilities of barter, but to give young people (just like me) a chance to gain skills, and then to see the world and absorb its wonders. I'm all for getting as many people to travel as possible, even in these troubled times. I am for them to appreciate the world, to take care of themselves and create around them, to do good.
